However, they noticed that Kindlus Potenka was still alive inside of his own crystal, but completely immobile. They dare not to break it open lest Kindlus Potenka’s god-like power could run rampant again. But it seemed the emperor got his final wish. The whole time, he was afraid of dying - and by turning to immobile crystal, he became immortal and unable to die. They had no choice but to leave him be to look for other survivors. They had magically animated artificial dolls called ~~homunculi~~ that could relentlessly attack in large numbers easily surpassing Leir’s golems in terms of agility and adaptability. Leir was backed into a corner and decided to experiment something on their own. One of the problems Leir had with golems was that they could be pre-programmed for specific tasks, but they could not adapt to the unpredictability of the ~~homunculi~~. While human soldiers could defeat them more easily, it was still incredibly dangerous to deal with in close combat. A new solution was required.
