The '''Long Nightmare''' was a major event in the history of [[Erudite]]. During the year 1021 ADW, the [[Goar]] named [[Praxis]] cast a worldwide sleeping spell that caused all mortals on the planet to fall into a deep slumber that would last at least an entire year. This has massive ramifications, disrupting society and causing indirectly causing mass casualties due from vehicle accidents. [[Airship]]s crashed to the ground due to their pilots falling asleep and many who happened to be isolated from civilization died from exposure.

Fortunately, those experienced with [[dreamwalking]] were able to help others, remaining mentally active despite being asleep. While all mortals are asleep, many of them are using astral projection back into Erudite to make sure they can get people to safe places, while using healing and stasis spells to keep them alive.

However, conflict would still wage on, although it now primarily took place within the world of dreams. [[Antithesis]] would be at its strongest. [[SomniCorps]] alongside other dreamwalking organizations would unite to take on a common threat.
==Aftermath==
The mortal population returned from sleep after [[Amie Garland]], [[Bella Ore]], [[Charlotte Beaumont]] and countless others defeat Antithesis. The negative memories within the Tree of Dreams were still preserved, but it was decided they should stay so as to learn from them for the future. However, the [[Great Spirit]] was mortally wounded during the battle, and he decided to become absorbed into the Tree of Dreams.
