The '''Spinnevolk''' are a spider-like race of people known as a vile and evil race. This erroneous belief means that Spinnevolk are, best-case scenario, chased out of the area surrounding whatever settlements they're sighted near. Worst case, they're lynched or otherwise killed in cold blood. This has lead to many groups of Spinnevolk being just as belligerent and hostile as people assume they are.

However, most Spinnevolk are actually quite peaceful, or at least just territorial. Those few settlements that befriend a Spinnevolk find them to be powerful and skillful allies.
