The '''Zula''' are a tribe of [[human]]s that were the first settlers of [[Swen]]. Considered the first mortals to make use of [[blue sap]], they are believed to have originated from [[Brumal]] explorers.

The earliest evidence of the Zula dates back to at least 8,000 years before the [[Demon Wars]]. On a savannah plain, they discovered a pool of blue sap which they drank from to obtain heightened magical abilities which led to them also discovering the existence of the [[Tree of Dreams]]. Overtime, their long term exposure to the blue sap eventually transformed them into new beings, now being over eight feet tall with blue skin.

However, due to the fundamental nature of the blue sap being tied to emotional states, the Zula became particularly vulnerable. A Zula that succumbs to overwhelming negative emotions will eventually turn into a being known as a [[Goar]]. While they still maintain their intellect and skills, their morality and ability to show empathy becomes compromised as they become more proficient in dark magic.
