Vinda Dorchester is the leader of the Steel Sisters. She trained as a Magic Knight through her childhood, but during a battle against a Heilinthar incursion, she was mortally wounded. With her loyalty to her country still unwavering, she volunteered herself to be turned into a mechanis so that she could continue to serve and fight against the Heilinthar.

Vinda has ancestry in the city of Aegis in the Kronen Empire, being a descendant of a knight that fought during the Demon Wars. The Dorchester family was known to have aided in securing the ruins of Gammel after it was overrun by demons. After the war, Vinda's ancestor, Ventan Dorchester, was gifted a castle on Mt. Ardas by the emperor for his service. There, he would start his own family, continuing the Dorchester lineage within Leir.
