Maculinea

The Maculinea is a legendary monster known in ancient Flemmet mythology. It is a giant species of butterfly whos caterpillar form is carnivorous. It infiltrates Flemmet colonies by impersonating their queen which the Flemmet are tricked into tending and caring for by the scent of its pheremones. However, over the process of the caterpillar's maturation, it methodically devours members of the colony one by one. Upon maturing into a butterfly, it flies away to find the next colony to lay its eggs in and take over.
