Tradespeak

Tradespeak is a common language spoken by nations throughout Erudite. It is a mix of many languages though a large number of words derive from the Jad and Fraengal languages. The origins of the language come directly during the Demon Wars. As the demons were attacking the entire world all at once, many nations found themselves in need of a common language to better coordinate their defenses against them. As such, the language began as a series of code words to associate common symbols and gestures.

After the end of the war, the language stuck around as it still served as a convenient way to easily communicate with other nations. Thus, what was originally wartime code was rebranded as tradespeak - symbolizing not only its prominent use in the economy but also the exchange of ideas that rapidly accelerated during a time of major conflict.
