Akupara's World

Akupara's World was one of the first dream worlds created within the Tree of Dreams, directly by the Great Spirit to see if any memories of the Old Pantheon could be materialized in some tangible form. It is a surreal place filled with colossal flying turtles that giant elephants ride atop, each of which hold entire cities on their backs. The world is based on a memory of the god Ouros which was that of Erudite during an ancient period shortly after the creation of the world.

Akupara's World is thought to be based on a lost continent and series of floating islands previously located off the coast of Bhari'Adavi. The continent itself was actually the shell of Akupara, the largest of the turtles who was so enormous that he could wade the oceans.

During the Shattering, Akupara was slain by Vaskus during a battle between the two of them. Because Akupara's powerful magic helped to sustain the life force of the turtles and elephants, all of them collapsed under their own weight, the cities on their backs being destroyed with them. As such, the copy of it within the Tree of Dreams serves as the only remnant of this lost land. After this success, the Great Spirit became inspired to seek out other memories of the Old Pantheon in hopes of restoring an archive of what Erudite used to look like prior to the Shattering.
