The Chronomancy Blink is an event that took place coinciding with the Maximum Chronomancy Date in 1020 ADW. Suddenly, coinciding with almost exactly midnight of the new year, thousands of people from all across Erudite's history suddenly appeared all over the world, stranded and unable to return to their original time. The majority of them were previously thought to have gone missing and pronounced deceased. These individuals have a variety of origins:

  • Curious time travelers who deliberately traveled to this time period, knowing they would be unable to return
  • Chronomancy experiments that went wrong, engulfing individuals within a magical blast
  • Airships and other vessels that got lost in magical storms
  • Past civilizations that removed their unwanted by banishing them forward in time

The number of individuals ranged from lone travelers to crewmembers aboard vehicles to even entire ancient civilizations. The Segaran Technocracy had made an appearance after many centuries. Whereas it was thought to have vanished entirely from existence, in reality, when the Segaran time loop was broken, the city was teleported forward in time, beyond the weaves of fate. Thus, it reappeared in 1020 ADW and continued along normal time.

The Chronomancy Blink caused significant societal disruption with all the additional individuals and civilizations abruptly being introduced, alterring the political landscape of Erudite in a single day. For example, Segara became a target of interest for essentially being in possession of medieval era magitek in mint condition, although surprisingly, Segara's technological capabilities still rivaled that of the rest of other Cyber Era civilizations as teleporting with them were its vast ekati reserves that had almost entirely ran short everywhere else in the world.

However, there was little opportunity to deal with the instability as less than a few months later, the Final Rupture began. Antithesis began its return to destroy Erudite and the Goar named Praxis made his appearance, offering to guide all mortals into the next world after its destruction with the price of ruling over them. All civilizations in Erudite had to unite to face a common enemy or else they would face extinction.
