"I've seen all futures and all there is to know of the past. The Star Crown has given me vision that no other mortal could ever comprehend. I will take the empty throne of the gods and guide my children down their destined path. Those who stand in my way shall perish."
―Luminiferah

Luminiferah (known as the True Empress of the Star Crown, the All-Seeing Goddess) was the ruler of the Heilinthar and possessor of the Aard'Vorn known as the Star Crown, which allows her to see into the future as well as alternate timelines. To the Heilinthar, she is revered as a physical deity and the replacement of Isha. Though she began as a normal elf, her time spent learning how to use the Star Crown over many centuries has made her an exceptionally powerful magic user.

To the outside world, her appearance and status as a physical ruler is kept an absolute secret. While the outside world knows that the Heilinthar possess the Star Crown, they are unaware that their goddess physically exists and that the Heilinthar emperor is only a figurehead. Luminiferah is responsible for the war against Leir, feeling threatened by their possession of the Worldstone.

Appearance

Luminiferah is blind as a consequence of using the Star Crown extensively. However, this does not impede her ability to perceive her environment as her telepathic and clairovoyant senses make up for it. She wears the Star Crown, the frontmost part of it covers her eyes, only leaving her mouth and nose exposed. She has purple skin and long black hair that seems to flow with her robes as if it were underwater - likely caused by her radiant magic. Luminiferah has lived for thousands of years, even longer than the normal lifespan of elves. She straddles in a state between life and death as her body is non-solid appearing much like a living nebula.

Personality

Luminiferah is ruthless though she wasn't always like that. Thousands of years ago, she was a curious woman who pondered the mysteries of the universe and where the gods had gone. When she came into possession of the Star Crown, she knew it could provide answers. Though she learned how to harness its power, the sudden influx of god-like knowledge had warped and twisted her worldview. She begun to see the entire universe as insignificant - especially given that all the gods except Asmos were dead. This madness led her to creating a new belief system to perhaps give meaning to her people, the Heilinthar. She began preaching the superiority of the Heilinthar and that all other mortals were little more than animals.

It is suspected that despite having extraordinary powers from the Star Crown, Luminiferah is a prisoner to the very Aard'Vorn she is wearing. Deep within her madness is a desire to return to being mortal, and to be free of the Star Crown's knowledge.

Powers

Luminiferah is described as a god, though in reality, she is an extraordinarily powerful sorceress. She is skilled in a variety of schools of magic though her primary specialty is aether magic. She can warp reality around her and bring her target's worst fears into the real world.

Luminiferah can also assume a form heavily resembling an Aetherian with dozens of ethereal arms and tendrils sprouting from her sides. In this form, she can even obtain glimpses of some of the memories of the Old Pantheon.

History

During the Tribal Era, Luminiferah was already considered a goddess due to her magical abilities compared to those around her. She was gifted the Star Crown after her followers obtained it from merchants originating from the Brumal Archipelago. The merchants were happy to get rid of it as they considered the artifact to be virtually worthless. The majority of mortals who attempted to use the Star Crown were never able to figure out what it did, let alone learn how to use it. The previous owner of the Star Crown had their mind annihilated into madness from attempting to use it. Luminiferah, however, saw its potential and was condident she could figure it out. Her elven physiology made her far more prepared to wield it. She succeeded, and she effectively ascended to godhood.

Until the late Reinassiance Era, the Star Crown had never left her possession. Due to its inherent powers granting her vision of the future and the knowledge of the gods, she was able to secure it for a very long time.

In a showdown to protect the emperor of Leir, the Steel Sisters were sent to liberate the Star Crown from Luminiferah so that her influence over the war would take a devastating blow.
