When Leir invaded Shuang and stole the Flame Sigil, the Shuang region would begin to freeze over, rendering the area inhospitable for permanent civilization. Refugees consisting of Frost Elves migrated south down the mountain ranges to found a new society known as Nasansara. While they experienced conflicts with the native Aspians, the two eventually assimilated.
