The Notios are a small, bipedal mammalian race resembling desert shrews. They stand on average about three feet tall.

It is theorized they may have originally evolved in the Tepezi Desert, though the earliest evidence of their society goes back to the centuries immediately following the War Between the Gods - a cataclysmic event that turned the Leir region from an ocean into a desert. They settled the area in disparate tribes in the thousands of years before the God Statues were discovered in the area.

Over time, they assimilated into the Leir Empire. They are very commonly seen as merchants, wizards, mechanics and more. Notios soldiers are considered extremely rare due to being able to be very easily overpowered physically even by a human child.
